With messages in favour of the reunification of Cyprus and our people, working people’s assertions and demands, but also international solidarity with the Palestinian people denouncing the ongoing genocide and war crimes being committed by the state of Israel, the joint event organised by the class-based trade union federation of PEO and Turkish Cypriot trade unions DEV-İŞ, KTAMS, KTÖS, KTOEÖS, BES, KOOP-SEN, DAÜ-SEN for Workers May Day Day took place on Wednesday morning in Nicosia.
Marches converged and merged in the UN-administered buffer zone where a rally and cultural program subsequently followed.
