† DEATH ANNOUNCEMENT – FUNERAL
Philippos Antoniou

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved husband,
father and grandfather Philippos Antoniou, who passed away, on Friday 15th March 2024, aged 86.
Philippos came to England from Cyprus in 1962. He then married Astero and settled in Streatham Hill, south London to raise their family.
Philippos was a family man who loved his family, relatives and community, and was closely involved in the Greek Orthodox Church.
He leaves behind his wife Astero, his children Tony and Eleni, 4 grandchildren Stanley, Nemo, Jacob and May, his son in law Barnaby and daughter in law Stephanie, as well as many relatives and friends.
The funeral will take place on Wednesday 8th May 2024, at the Greek Orthodox Church of St Constantine & St Helen, Crystal Palace, 69A Westow St, London SE19 3RW at 12 noon, followed by the burial at Croydon Cemetery, Mitcham Rd, London CR9 3AT, at 2pm. The wake will then be held at the Phoenix Community Centre, 66 Westow St, London SE19 3AF.
Donations can be made to the church and Heart Foundation.
There will be a donation box at the church.

Με μεγάλη θλίψη ανακοινώνουμε τον θάνατο του αγαπημένου μας συζύγου,
πατέρα και παππού Φίλιππου Αντωνίου, που έφυγε από τη ζωή.
την Παρασκευή 15 Μαρτίου 2024, σε ηλικία 86 ετών.
Ο Φίλιππος ήρθε στην Αγγλία από την Κύπρο το 1962. Στη συνέχεια παντρεύτηκε την Αστέρω και εγκαταστάθηκαν στο Streatham Hill, στο νότιο Λονδίνο
για να μεγαλώσουν την οικογένειά τους.
Ο Φίλιππος ήταν ένας οικογενειάρχης που αγαπούσε την οικογένειά του και την κοινότητά του και ασχολήθηκε στενά με την Ελληνική Ορθόδοξη Εκκλησία.
Καταλείπει τη σύζυγό του Αστέρω, τα παιδιά του Τόνυ και Ελένη, 4 εγγόνια
Στάνλεϊ, Νέμο, Τζέικομπ και Μέι, τον γαμπρό του Βαρνάβα, τη νύφη του
Στέφανη, καθώς και πολλούς συγγενείς και φίλους.
Η κηδεία θα γίνει την Τετάρτη 8 Μαΐου 2024, από τον Ιερό Ναό Αγίων
Κωνσταντίνου και Ελένης, Crystal Palace, 69A Westow St, London SE19 3RW,
στις 12 το μεσημέρι, ενώ θα ακολουθήσει η ταφή στο κοιμητήριο του Croydon,
Mitcham Rd, London CR9 3 ΑΤ, στις 2μμ. Στη συνέχεια, η παρηγοριά θα δοθεί
στο Phoenix Community Centre, 66 Westow St, London SE19 3AF.
