Late superstar Michael Jackson’s three children made a rare joint appearance in London last week.
Prince, Paris and Bigi Jackson came together for the opening night of MJ: The Musical at the Prince Edward Theatre. The siblings posed for photos on the red carpet ahead of the performance.
MJ the Musical is a jukebox musical based on the life of Michael Jackson and featuring over 25 of the legendary entertainer’s biggest hits.
The show takes audiences behind the scenes as Michael prepares for the 1992 Dangerous World Tour, providing an in-depth look at his process. As Michael and his collaborators rehearse their setlist, the audience is transported to pivotal creative moments from his career.
The King of Pop’s story, meanwhile, is getting the biopic treatment. Michael’s nephew Jaafar Jackson is portraying him in the upcoming film Michael — and he is the spitting image of his late uncle.
Prince shared a photo on Instagram and commented how special the film is for him and his family: “This project has had so many special moments for me and everyone involved. This photo was taken by my dad’s concert photographer @kevinmazur who was there for my dad’s last rehearsal and Jaafar’s first performance!”
He also gave his cousin Jaafar a shout-out: “Watching you perform and work your butt off is the closest I’ll ever come to watching my dad in concert and it’s been a dream come true! Proud of you cuz!”
