The deadline for applications – both in paper and electronic form – to register in the electoral rolls, ahead of June’s European parliament and local elections, in on Tuesday, April 2.

According to the Ministry of the Interior, after tomorrow no new registration and/or change can be made in the electoral rolls. Young people who will turn 18 by June 9, 2024 (i.e. those born before June 9, 2006) also have the right to register.

The Ministry adds that for citizens up to 25 years of age, applications can be submitted online via the elections website at elections.gov.cy. The applications in paper form are submitted to the local Offices of the District Administrations, Citizen Service Centres (KEP) and Citizen Centres (KEPO) at Cyprus Post Offices.

It is also noted that on Tuesday, April 2, the last day for registering in the electoral rolls and submitting a declaration for voting abroad, all the local Offices of the District Administrations, the Citizen Service Centres and the Elections Service at the Ministry of the Interior will be open until 5pm.

Electronic submission of an application for registration in the electoral rolls, as well as electronic submission of a statement to vote in a polling centre abroad, will be possible until midnight on April 2, 2024.
