On Tuesday 5th March 2024, the new ‘Youth Club’ commenced in the hall of the Cathedral of the Dormition of the Theotokos in Wood Green, London. This new initiative, for the pastoral care and ministry of the youth of our community, will take place on the first Tuesday of each month, at 6:30pm, with the next gathering on Tuesday 2nd April.
The first Youth Club consisted of discussion groups, short videos containing teachings of our Orthodox Christian Faith, a variety of activities such as table tennis, magnetic darts, putting (golf) and chess.
Throughout the gathering there was a selection of snacks offered to all participants.
This new initiative has been introduced in order to encourage the younger members of our community not only to grow further in their Faith, but also their involvement in the community and life of the local Church. The youth club offers a safe, open and Christian environment wherein one can cultivate social, spiritual and team-work skills under the care and blessings of Christ’s Church.
