† DEATH ANNOUNCEMENT – FUNERAL
Charalambos Nicola
(from Komi Kebir, Cyprus)

We are sad to announce the passing of our beloved Dad & Pappou
Charalambos Nicola, who passed away on 20.02.2024.
Charalambos born in Komi Kebir in 1937, grew up in Cyprus with his brothers, Luigi & Antonis, and sister, Maria.
In the late 1950s he moved to the UK, which then became his home where he built a life with his wife, Kiga. Together they ran a successful B&B in Hastings before moving to London to open their first restaurant, The Golden Hind.
They shared over 60 happy years together, having two children, Mario and Nicky, and two grandchildren, Lauren and Harry. Charalambos took pride in supporting his family, always having a full banquet on arrival. He loved spending time with the community at the Church, St. Nicholas, where you’d always find him on a Sunday.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday 26th March 2024, at 11:00am,
at The Greek Orthodox Cathedral of St. Nicholas, Shepherd’s Bush, 60
Godolphin Road, London W12 8JW. The burial will follow this service at
North Sheen Cemetery, Richmond, TW9 4EY.

Με λύπη ανακοινώνουμε τον θάνατο του αγαπημένου μας μπαμπά και παππού
Χαράλαμπου Νικόλα, ο οποίος έφυγε από τη ζωή στις 20.02.2024.
Ο Χαράλαμπος γεννήθηκε στην Κώμη Κεπίρ το 1937, μεγάλωσε στην Κύπρο
με τα αδέρφια του, Λουίτζι & Αντώνη, και την αδερφή του, Μαρία.
Στα τέλη της δεκαετίας του 1950 μετακόμισε στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο, το οποίο
στη συνέχεια έγινε το σπίτι του όπου έχτισε μια ζωή με τη σύζυγό του, Kiga.
Μαζί έτρεξαν ένα επιτυχημένο B&B στο Hastings πριν μετακομίσουν στο Λονδίνο για να ανοίξουν το πρώτο τους εστιατόριο, The Golden Hind. Μοιράστηκαν πάνω από 60 ευτυχισμένα χρόνια μαζί, έχοντας δύο παιδιά, τον Mάριο και την Νίκη, και δύο εγγόνια, τη Lauren και τον Harry. Ο Χαράλαμπος ήταν περήφανος που στήριξε την οικογένειά του. Του άρεσε να περνά χρόνο με την κοινότητα στην Εκκλησία του Αγίου Νικολάου, όπου τον έβρισκες πάντα την Κυριακή.
Η κηδεία θα τελεστεί την Τρίτη 26 Μαρτίου 2024, στις 11:00 π.μ, από τον
Καθεδρικός Ναός Αγίου Νικολάου, Shepherd’s Bush, 60 Godolphin Road,
London, W12 8JW. Η ταφή θα ακολουθήσει αυτή τη λειτουργία στις κοιμητήριο North Sheen, Richmond, TW9 4EY.
