A major new television production filmed exclusively in Cyprus will be screened in the UK.

As Invest Cyprus states in a press release, “Love Rat”, a four-episode drama series, will be broadcasted on Britain’s Channel 5, owned by Paramount Global.

It is noted that this production has been approved by the Cyprus Film Commission and promotes Cyprus’ tourist features, particularly those of Ayia Napa and Protaras. A total of 48 Cypriot professionals were employed for the production.

As highlighted by the production of this television series “our country is becoming a centre for notable international television and film productions, a development that has been among our goals to attract foreign film productions.”

Love Rat was commissioned for Channel 5 by Sebastian Cardwell, Deputy Chief Content Officer, UK at Paramount and has been produced by the UK’s Clapperboard Studios. The executive producers are Clapperboard MD Mike Benson and Andy Morgan, with Jonathan Phillips as producer and Polly Buckle (A Discovery of Witches) as head writer.

Sally Lindsay, Neil Morrissey, Gerald Kyd and Ramon Tikaram play in the series, the press release concluded.
