Recruitment Day is returning to Enfield offering local people opportunities for immediate employment, skills enhancement and information about job openings from top employers.

The free event will take place on 20 March at Southbury Leisure Centre and will provide opportunities for job seekers, new graduates, and those looking to switch careers.

Enfield Council, in partnership with Job Centre Plus, the Department of Work and Pensions, Maximus UK and Local London are building on the success of last autumn’s Recruitment Day on an even bigger scale to meet the high demand for good-quality, local employment opportunities.

From industry-leading tech companies like Microsoft and Netflix to The Met Police, Enfield’s Recruitment Day will allow job seekers to network with more than 70 companies – with a chance to secure on-the-day interviews.

In addition, many training providers and advisors from industries such as construction and healthcare will be present for hands-on advice about qualifications and training. There will also be expert-led CV workshops to tackle barriers to finding employment.

Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Culture, Public Spaces and Local Economy, Cllr Chinelo Anyanwu, said: “Last year, we saw a great deal of enthusiasm from Enfield’s jobseekers, with more than 350 residents attending our autumn Recruitment Day, with one in ten attendees reporting a job outcome.”

“This spring, we aim to maximise the opportunities available by enlisting more employers, hosting more workshops, and providing a larger space to bring direct opportunities to the residents in Enfield. By enabling local people to develop skills to access decent quality work, we can help build an economy that works for everyone.”

The event is free, but spots are limited. Book now to reserve a free place at EventBrite.
