Poet’s Poetry Group and the Cypriot Artists Platform celebrated World Poetry Day on March 21.

Established by UNESCO in 1999 and celebrated worldwide, World Poetry Day aims to draw attention to poetry and provide support for national, universal, and regional poetry.

On Saturday, March 23, 2024, Poet’s Poetry Group and the Cypriot Artists Platform celebrated this special day with a large turnout at the Cypriot Community Centre. In this event, attended by beautiful and sincere friends, 17 poets and poetry enthusiasts shared their poems.

The event was enriched by the participation of Bergüzar Erdoğan with her beautiful voice, musician Hamit Sağ, and violin virtuoso Andrew Hubbard Badger. Art and friendship came together in this meaningful event, and the power of poetry was once again felt.
