Police have released an image of a man they want to identify and are appealing for witnesses following a sexual assault that took place on a bus in Tottenham Hale.

The assault happened at approximately 22:50hrs on Saturday, 27 January 2024 after a woman boarded the 192 bus at Tottenham Hale bus station.

The woman sat down at the back of the bus and fell asleep. An unknown man, who had got on at the same time, sat down next to her and proceeded to sexually assault her. He got off the bus shortly after.

Officers have released a CCTV image taken from the 192 bus on the night of the alleged incident and are appealing for anyone who recognises the man to come forward.

The suspect is described as having dark hair and a beard and did not speak with a British accent. He was wearing a black hooded top.

Detectives from Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating and appealing for any information about the attack.
