In a remarkable display of fashion fusion, two UK Cypriots, Panickos (Pan) Philippou, the former CEO of Diesel, Ben Sherman and Firetrap, accompanied by fashion entrepreneur Christina Dymioti from Fashion Heritage Network Cyprus, took their seats at the coveted Front Row of the cult label JordanLuca during Milan Fashion Week 2024.
Pan Phillipou, co-founded the brand alongside Jordan Bowen and Luca Marchetto. Established in 2019, JordanLuca has swiftly emerged as a couture streetwear label, seamlessly marrying London Punk style with Italian heritage.
The spotlight at Milan Fashion Week was on JordanLuca’s Fall/Winter 2024 collection, a masterful blend of heritage tweeds and punk aesthetics that skilfully incorporated rebellious details into timeless tailoring. As the runway unfolded, it became a visual spectacle adorned with silver balloons, each a creation of the talented artist Dominic Myatt. The collection featured punk-inspired classics, from tailored overcoats paired with face-hugging headwear to straight-fitting trousers and leather angular boots. Dark eyeliner added a club-ready vibe, while Andreas Kronthaler, Creative Director of Vivienne Westwood, made a surprise appearance in an all-black ensemble. The use of leather in structured jackets, mohawk hair styling, and chunky silver jewellery added a counter-cultural edge. The party theme continued with white blouses and dresses adorned with multicoloured polka dots.
In essence, the Fall/Winter 2024 collection unfolded like a rebellious symphony, intertwining timeless tailoring with punk aesthetics. The collection left a lasting impression with its unique combination of elements, affirming JordanLuca’s trailblazing status in the fashion scene.
