Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a mid-terraced house converted into flats on Regent’s Square in King’s Cross. 

Part of a two roomed flat on the ground floor was damaged by the fire. One man was rescued by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.

The Brigade was called at 1350 and the incident was over for firefighters at 1446. Firefighters from Islington, Soho, Kentish Town and Paddington fire stations attended the scene. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the London Fire Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.
