AEK of Larnaca and Omonia of Nicosia began the second phase of the Cyta Football League with great victories against Paphos and Aris. In the third game of the Group A, the first in the standings APOEL draw away against Anorthosis of Famagusta.

In the Match Day 1 of the second phase of the League, Omonia achieved a great victory against Aris in Alphamega Stadium with 2-1 and AEK defeated Paphos with 1-0 in the Stelios Kyriakides Stadium. Earlier on Sunday, the game between Anothrosis and APOEL ended 0-0.

In Group B, the Match Day 1 wraps up on Monday with the game between Apollon and Doxa at the Alphamega Stadium at 19:00.

On Saturday, Ethnikos Achnas and AEL won at home and with the same score, 2-1, over Karmiotissa and AEZ, respectively. At the third game Nea Salamina-Othellos drew with 1-1.
