Leaders Hornchurch started the weekend with a nine point lead at the top of Pitching In Isthmian Premier, and hoped to at least retain that advantage as struggling Haringey Borough came to call.
The Urchins had lost only once this season, and had won their previous four- whilst Borough had only three wins from thirty matches and three points from the last twenty one available.
The hosts went ahead on the quarter hour mark, Tommie Hoban with the opener, and they added a second four minutes after the break, a header from Mauro Da Silva Vilhete giving them a cushion after he was first to reach a corner. Twelve minutes from time a Liam Nash tap in made it three, and that was that- another comfortable Urchins victory, and Borough seven points from safety.
