† DEATH ANNOUNCEMENT – FUNERAL
Maroulla Demetriou
(from Limassol, Cyprus)

It is with enormous sadness that we announce the passing of our one of a kind, beloved wife, mother and grandmother Maroulla Demetriou who we lost on
9th December 2023, aged 88.

She leaves behind her husband Alexi, her children Peter & Demetra, daughter in law Tessa, 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Not to mention many members of the extended family that she cherished throughout her life.

Maroulla was a person who lived her life with extreme generosity & care for those around her. With a heart of gold, she led her life with love & especially hospitality (no one ever left her house without eating, whether they were hungry or not!).

The funeral will take place on Wednesday 20th December at 10am at St John The Baptist Church, Whightman Road N8 OLY, followed by a burial at New Southgate Cemetery, Brunswick Park Road, New Southgate, N11 1JJ, at 12 noon.
Following the burial, the family invite you to celebrate Maroulla’s life at The Penridge Suite, 470 Bowes Road, New Southgate, N11 1NL.
In lieu of flowers the family are suggesting donations be made to the Association for Children with Special Needs, that Maroulla supported for many years of her life.
There will be donation boxes available on the day.

Μαρούλλα Δημητρίου

Με μεγάλη λύπη ανακοινώνουμε τον θάνατο της μοναδικής, αγαπημένης μας συζύγου, μητέρας και γιαγιάς Μαρούλλας Δημητρίου που έφυγε από τη ζωή, στις 9 Δεκεμβρίου 2023, σε ηλικία 88 ετών.

Καταλείπει τον σύζυγό της Αλέξη, τα παιδιά της Πέτρο & Δήμητρα, νύφη Τέσσα, 4 εγγόνια και 6 δισέγγονα. Καταλείπει επίσης πολλά μέλη της ευρύτερης οικογένειας που αγαπούσε πολύ.

Η Μαρούλλα ήταν ένα άτομο που έζησε τη ζωή της με εξαιρετική γενναιοδωρία και φροντίδα για τους γύρω της. Με χρυσή καρδιά, έζησε τη ζωή της με αγάπη & κυρίως φιλοξενία (κανείς δεν έφευγε ποτέ από το σπίτι της χωρίς να φάει,
είτε πεινούσε είτε όχι!).

Η κηδεία της θα πραγματοποιηθεί την Τετάρτη 20 Δεκεμβρίου στις 10 π.μ, από τον ιερό ναό Αγίου Ιωάννη του Βαπτιστή, Hornsey / Haringey, Wightman Road, London N8 0LY και θα ακολουθήσει ταφή της στο κοιμητήριο New Southgate, Brunswick Park Road, N11 1JJ στις 12 το μεσημέρι.
Η οικογένεια σας προσκαλεί να γιορτάσετε τη ζωή της Μαρούλλας μετά την ταφή στο The Penridge Suite, 470 Bowes Road, New Southgate, N11 1NL.

Αντί λουλούδια η οικογένεια προτείνει να γίνουν εισφορές στο Σύλλογο Παιδιών με Ειδικές Ανάγκες, που στήριξε η Μαρούλλα για πολλά χρόνια της ζωής της. Θα υπάρχουν διαθέσιμα κουτιά εισφορών την ημέρα της κηδείας.
