On Saturday afternoon, Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar appealed to the Greek Cypriots, through the UN, for the arrest of the alleged perpetrators of the murder of Ayça Alav, as they are believed to have fled to the Republic of Cyprus.
The victim Alav, who was working at Hit Bit exchange in Nicosia where she was murdered and robbed.
As reported in the occupied territories, a statement from the “presidential palace” said that on the orders of the TC leader, the coordinator of the Technical Committees, Seniha Birad Chinar, and the co-chair of the Technical Committee on Crime and Criminality, Salih Jian Doratli, have taken the necessary initiatives to arrest the perpetrators and hand them over to the pseudo-state.
The statement added that both the UN and the Greek Cypriots have been informed about the case.
Two arrests have already been made in connection with the murder of the woman in the occupied territories. They are two 31-year-old men who allegedly helped the two alleged perpetrators of the murder to escape. Yesterday they were placed under three-day detention by a “court” order.
