Barnard Park’s brand new 3G astroturf pitch is now open!
Thanks to support from the Football Foundation, we now have a state of the art football pitch in Barnsbury, the only 9v9 pitch in the borough, complete with pitch lighting to enable people to play after dark.
We are currently welcoming bookings from organised football groups, and for a limited time, ‘Free Play’ sessions are available during daylight hours.
From January onwards a new booking system will be in place for those wanting to take advantage of this fantastic new facility, check the website in the new year for details.
The park will be further transformed in 2024, with landscaping works, the construction of a new park hub building, 51 new trees, new and improved planting, and a new entrance at Sheen Grove.

Been playing football in this pitch since I was a kid I am now 29 and the fact that you have to book to play now kind of sucks.
