Chinese delegation visit
Welwyn Hatfield’s Mayor, Cllr Pankit Shah, recently hosted visits from two Chinese delegations. The first delegation from Zhejiang Province visited on 22 Nov, and the second, from Yiwu City, on 4 Dec.

The delegations both received presentations from Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council’s Chief Executive, Ka Ng, and Executive Director, Chris Barnes, on the services the council provides and how it makes decisions, as well as the planning process in the UK.

The Mayor, Cllr Shah, said: I was delighted to meet with both delegations and introduce them to our wonderful Welwyn Hatfield. Their visits were a great opportunity for us to share ideas about Planning, regeneration, and service delivery. It was great to hear that the delegates found the visit very informative and there is no doubt that we can learn a lot from each other.
