Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters tackled a fire at a hotel on High Road in Wood Green.

Part of a second-floor air conditioning room was damaged by fire. Firefighters carried out a systematic search of the hotel and around 25 people left the hotel before firefighters arrived. There have been no reports of any injuries. 

Road closures have been in place causing traffic delays in the area. People were advised to avoid the area whilst the incident was ongoing. 

The Brigade was called at 0928 and the fire was brought under control by 1110. Crews from Hornsey, Tottenham and surrounding fire stations attended the scene.
