Councillor Tony Vourou is the new Deputy Mayor of the London Borough of Barnet after the Barnet Council meeting at Hendon Town Hall held on Tuesday 23rd May 2023.

Tony was born in London his Father from Rizokarpasso and his mother from Komi Kebir in Cyprus.

Tony a Barnet resident is married to Caroline from London and has two children daughter Penny a Doctor and son Nikola a tax advisor.

Tony was elected as a councillor in the Brunswick Park Ward of Barnet a year ago.

Tony Vourou grew up in Tottenham and attended Seven Sisters junior school and then Wood Green school and further education at North London Polytechnic.

He owned a very successful dress manufacturing business then moved on to One Stop Coordinations a catering weddíng and events cómpany.

He is a School Governor at a school in Barnet and a committee member of St Katherines Greek Orťhodox Church in Barnet.

Tony is passionate about improving life for his fellow residents in Barnet.
