The CGS OPEN 13/07/22 John O Gaunt Golf Club

The Cypriot Golf Society held the CGS Open at John O Gaunt, in Bedfordshire, on 13th July 2022.

56 members and 3 guests competed for the prestigious Claret Jug. The weather was perfect for golf, sunny and warm, 25 C. In the absence of our blessed Captain, the late Gill Kyriakou, acting Captain of the day was Lakis Chrysostomou.

Winner of the day was the young talented big hitter, Demitri Malaisi. Demitri scored a fantastic 40 points playing off a 7 handicap. An impressive gross score of 3 over par. Runner up was Andrew Savva with 39 points.

After the golf, a fantastic BBQ was enjoyed on the patio balcony of the clubhouse, on a glorious summer evening. Captain Lakis presented the prizes in his usual entertaining style.
