Dom Revan, Dale Gorman and Idris Kanu were the goal scorers as Barnet comfortably saw off their opponents from Somerset.

Goal scorer Revan was one of two changes Dean Brennan made after the league defeat to Wrexham. Rob Hall came in for Kian Flanagan and Revan replaced Michael Phillips at left back. 

 
The Bees took the lead in the 32nd minute after Revan managed to bundle in Gorman’s deep cross from a corner. 

Once the opening goal went in, the home side kept control of the game, doubling their lead in the 70thminute thanks to a confident penalty from the captain Gorman.

The lead was extended to three just five minutes later. Pritchard’s wicked cross was met by Kabamba, his header was parried by the keeper straight to Idris Kanu who smashed home emphatically.  

 
Despite Barnet’s eventual dominance, it was the visitors who looked the most dangerous in the opening quarter of what was a cagey start to the game.  

Dean Brennan’s side made a slow start and allowed Weston to play some good football.  

However, it was to no prevail for The Seagulls who, despite their hard-work, saw themselves 1-0 down on the 32-minute mark. 

Scott Barlett’s side are unbeaten in their league and have won eight in ten. However, they were unable to ever really trouble Laurie Walker in the Bees goal. 

A long-range effort from Jordan Bastin hit the post but that was as close as they’d come all game much to the away fans disappointment who were loud in voice during the contest. 

 
Barnet may feel they could have won the game by more than three. Kabamba was unfortunate not to extend his tally of 9 goals so far this season after his scuffed shot inside the box went just wide of the post. 

Corners were a source of joy for the Bees, perhaps due to the strong winds in North London.  

Collinge had a header in a good position and Revan was a whisker away from grabbing a brace for himself after a great save from Max Harris in the Weston goal denied him. 

 
Substitute Sean Shields also had an effort from a corner go just wide towards the end of the game. 

This win for Barnet sees them progress to the First Round Proper of the FA Cup but just as importantly sees them return to winning ways.
