In the Velocity Trophy New Salamis played host to Chertsey Town, who were without a manager and without a win in five. The match put the second one of those statements right, as the Curfews came from behind to record a three-two win. Bryan Taylor gave the visitors an early lead, but Salamis turned things around with an equaliser from Elijah Ogunseye a great goal on the volley ten minutes before the break and another goal from Pap Jawara just before the half time whistle went.

Jake Baxter has been short of goals of late, but put that right with the equaliser almost immediately after the restart, and the winner came just before the hour, William Montague sending Town through to the next round.
