It was Cup fever weekend for the KOPA Football League this week where there were three Challenge Cup games played and sixteen goals scored.

An amazing cup tie was Olympia v Omonia with Omonia scoring within a few minutes after the kick off with a goal from Savva who scored with a shot from the edge of the box.In the first twenty minutes Omonia were comfortable. Olympia then pressured with numerous chances that failed to materialise into goals and a save off the line and the Omonia keeper Serge pulling off some good saves to keep Olympia at bay.Omonia were still dangerous on the counter attack.

Olympia were awarded a penalty in the 30th minute striker Elias blasted it wide. Omonia went into the break 1-0 up and it looked like Omonia might be able to hold on, then a one to one situation between the Omonia keeper and Yemi allowed the Olympia striker Yemi to head the ball home and went onto to score a hat trick with Peter Antoniades adding one and Elias making amends for his missed penalty with a cracking shot from outside the box into the back of the net to give Olympia a 5-1 win.

Akanthou are flying scoring 15 goals in their last two games cruising with another Cup win a comfortable 7-0 win over Omonia Youth their goals coming from Charlie Georgiou hat trick,George Lutaaya 2 and Brandon Dujon.

Panathinaikos beat Nissi 3-0 with their goals coming from Anthony Constantinou, Andrew Yiasoumi and Jordan Campbell.
