It was Championship day in the KOPA league on Sunday in the build up we had the scenario of if Anorthosis win they are champions if they lose and Komi Kebir FC win then Komi are champions.
The first match was Komi Kebir v Omonia which the Greens Omonia won 2-0.
Both their goals came from corners their first goal came after a goalmouth scramble from Onome and the second from a direct corner from Vedat.
So Anorthosis went into their game with Pantel as champions with their manager Dino Ippocratous proud and into the game with a glorified mood.
Pantel made it difficult for the new champions with both sides clamouring for chances and the first half ending 0-0.
The second half both teams had chances more so Anorthosis with their striker Andre McCollins playing a prominent role.he hit the post from the edge of the box and then a great free kick from him was brilliantly saved by the Pantel keeper.
Then Andre recieved the ball on the edge of the box and he advanced and placed the ball passed the keeper into the far right side of the goal.
The second goal came from Vas Chrisikos after some good teamwork to give Anorthosis a 2-0 win.
