Cyprus police booked, during the last 24 hours, 50 citizens and four establishments for breaching the measures in place to contain the spread of COVID-19.

A police spokesperson told CNA that a total of 7,108 checks were carried out island-wide.

The police conducted 1,091 checks in Nicosia where eight individuals were reported. In Limassol they carried out 2,981 checks and reported 15 individuals. In Larnaca 526 checks were conducted and one premise was reported.

The police carried out 1,108 in Paphos and booked three premises and 10 citizens. In Famagusta they carried out 940 checks and reported 16 citizens, while in Morphou they conducted 454 checks and booked one citizen.

The port police carried out eight checks without reporting anyone.
