The Cyprus Police reported 62 individuals and two owners of premises for violating measures in place to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

According to a Police spokesperson, from 0600 on Monday to 0600 on Tuesday local time, a total of 6,174 checks were carried out island-wide.

Four civilians and one premise owner were reported in Nicosia, 18 civilians in Limassol, 15 civilians and one premise owner in Larnaca, 18 civilians in Pafos, six in Famagusta, and one in Morphou.

The Port Police carried out 13 checks with no violations reported.
