Thirty-seven refugees believed to be Syrian, 35 men and two underage girls, landed  by boat overnight in the Tyrkish occupied part of Cyprus, and later crossed on foot into the area under the control of the Cypriot government to Kato Pyrgos Tyllirias in Cyprus. in the early hours of Sunday,

They  travelled by boat from Mersin in Turkey then to Cyprus.

They have since been sent to the aid centre ìn Kokkinotrimithia in the Nicosoa area where doctors have examined the refugees and have said they are well and in good spirits
