Detectives investigating a fight in Enfield which left one man suffering from slash wounds are appealing for information.

 

Police were called shortly after 08:00hrs on Saturday, 30 June to reports of a fight in Montagu Road, N9.

 

Officers attended and found a 28-year-old man suffering from superficial slash injuries.

 

He was taken by the London Ambulance Service to a north London hospital. His injuries were assessed as not life-threatening.

 

Two other people were treated at the scene for minor cuts.

 

Two men, aged 23 [A] and 20 [B], were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. They were taken to an east London police station and have since been bailed to a date in late September.

 

DC Syed Uzzaman, who is leading the investigation for Enfield Police, said: “At this stage, we believe the assault occurred on Zambezi Drive.

 

“Our enquiries continue to establish what happened in the lead up to the incident and we are keeping an open mind as to any motive.

 

“Although two arrests have been made, I believe multiple people were involved in the altercation and I continue to appeal for information to help us identify those responsible.”
