Detectives are appealing for information following a sexual assault on a route 149 bus travelling from Seven Sisters station towards White Hart Lane.

At around 09:00hrs on Friday, 12 January, the victim – a 15-year-old girl – boarded the bus at London Bridge, Southwark and sat on the upper deck towards the front.

A short while after, a male got on the bus and sat directly next to the girl.

He then sexually touched her thigh.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s, around 5’9” tall, of skinny build and with short, light brown hair. He was wearing a dark, wool waist-length coat with a fur hood and light blue jeans.

Detective Constable James Eccleston, from the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command, said: “This assault, which took place in broad daylight, has left this young girl shaken and upset.

“If you were on that bus, or know who this man is, please get in touch.”

If you can identify this man, or offer any information to assist the investigation, please contact police on 101 or tweet @MetCC.
