The Baggies will take on Barnet in early July as part of our pre-season schedule.

West Bromwich Albion will make their first visit to The Hive London on Saturday 7th July, kick off at 3pm.

The Hawthorns side were relegated from the Premier League last campaign. However, this wasn’t without a late upturn in form under now permanent Head Coach Darren Moore who was named Manager of the Month for April.

This is the second pre-season friendly to be confirmed by Barnet, after a meeting against Ipswich Town was announced earlier this week to be played 21st July 2018.

Further pre-season friendlies which will take place throughout the month of July, as well as ticketing details, will be announced in the near future.

One of the greatest wingers to don the famous Black and Amber is to reunite with John Still in the role of Assistant Manager.

To many Barnet fans, Darren Currie is someone who will need little introduction. During his playing days, the midfielder made 136 appearances for the Bees between 1998 and 2001.

He would score on his debut, become a fan favourite on the terraces and would be a part of the squad that would reach the Division Three play-offs, scoring one of the goals of the season away to Swansea City.

He would earn moves to Championship sides Brighton & Hove Albion and Ipswich Town amongst others.

His near two-decade career saw him make over 600 appearances across all divisions in the Football League before finally making the step into coaching at Boreham Wood.

He has worked with John Still at Dagenham & Redbridge for a number of seasons and we welcome this blend of youth and experience.
