The General Secretary of the C.C. of AKEL Andros Kyprianou today had a meeting with a delegation of the Young Workers Bureau of EDON Youth Organization with regards the campaign “Dignity at Work – Work with Rights”.

The issues raised by EDON’s delegation were the most important for every new worker: the level of wages of young workers, the minimum wage, the 13th month salary, working hours and overtime, work on Sundays and holidays, days off and the right for young workers to organize themselves at the workplace.

The General Secretary of the C.C. of AKEL expressed his support for EDON’s initiative to organize and wage the campaign. Furthermore, he expressed AKEL’s readiness to support any initiative that would serve the interests and demands of young workers.
