A person has sadly died after being struck by a train at Highbury and Islington underground station.

We were called to the scene at 12.23pm today.

Officers and paramedics attended but sadly the person died.

Enquiries are ongoing to identify them and inform their next of kin.

The incident is not currently being treated as suspicious.
