The Capital Arts Children’s Choir, based in Potters Bar, sang at the Downing Street Christmas lights switch-on last week.
After the lights were turned-on at 5.15pm the choir sang some carols before all the guests were served hot chocolate.
The choir’s music director, Kathleen Shanks, said: “The Capital Arts Children’s Choir was delighted to sing last night at Downing Street and it was an honour to be chosen.
“It was a special moment for all of us.
“Theresa May spent time talking to me about the choir before wishing us all a very Happy Christmas.
“The Capital Arts Children’s Choir schedule is very busy and we had just one rehearsal to learn five songs.
“The choir always has an exciting programme of performances with concerts, West End shows, operas, films, international tours, TV and radio work.”
The school children recently performed in Monaco and were filmed for Assassin’s Creed with Jeremy Irons and Michael Fassbender.
