A murder investigation has been launched in Edmonton after a man was fatally stabbed.

Police were called by London Ambulance Service to Strimon Close near Lema Crescent, N9 at 18:24hrs on Saturday, 16 December, following reports of a stabbing.

Officers and LAS attended and found a 21-year-old man suffering from a critical stab injury. The man was taken to hospital and pronounced dead a short time later.

His next-of-kin have been informed. A post-mortem examination will take place in due course. Formal identification awaits.

No arrests have been made. Enquiries are ongoing.

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating

A crime scene remains in place and door-to-door enquiries continue.
