Deepwater drillship `Saipem 12000` has arrived in Cyprus` Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), where it is expected to begin drilling for hydrocarbon reserves in field 6 of Cyprus` EEZ, called `Calypso`.

Minister of Energy, Yiorgos Lakkotrypis, wrote in his twitter account today `Saipem 12K, welcome to Cyprus EEZ. “Calypso” awaits`.

`Best of success ENI and TOTAL` the Minister wrote, referring to the energy companies which received license for hydrocarbon exploration in Cyprus` EEZ.
