Ghanaian forward Benjamin Asamoah was the hero of DOXA Katokopia as he bagged the winning strike in their 2-1 victory over Ermis in the Cypriot First Division League.

 Ermis shot into the lead in the 16th minute to force Doxa, who are playing away into chasing the game.

Back from half time, the visitors lifted up their performance and fetched the equalizer in the 50th minute through Finnish striker Sadik Berat.

Asamoah who has been the star man for DOXA all season made a statement of intent in the 68th minute by hitting the crossbar with a powerful header.

The 23-year-old stunned the home supporters with his 87th minute strike.

Asamoah has scored four goals in 15 appearances to help DOXA to 6th on the table after 15 matches.
