One of Enfield’s iconic landmarks will be gracing the small screen on Wednesday (22 November) when the hit BBC1 Television series “The Apprentice” airs.

Two teams of contestants from the show, which is watched by more than five million people a week, visited Elizabethan Mansion House Forty Hall and its beautiful park as part of the Doggy Business task in an effort to sell Enfield Council a pooper scoop service in the park.

Hilarity duly ensued after one of the teams got the contract and spent time being chased around by geese while carrying out the necessary, but frankly disgusting, clean up under the watchful eyes of Sir Alan Sugar’s aides Baroness Brady and Claude Littner – as well as Enfield Council’s Assistant Director – Commercial, Regeneration and Environment, Nicky Fiedler who picked apart their pitches and monitored their performance.

Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Economic Regeneration & Business, Cllr Alan Sitkin, said: “We’re delighted that the BBC picked Forty Hall as a backdrop to one of their most popular programmes and we had the opportunity to showcase what is a fantastic and historic visitor destination.”
