Fanouulla Kyprianou first London Marathon in 2015 was a life challenge and great event to participate in. Once is enough shethought at the time! This year, her sister said she would love to run the London Marathon so they both applied. Unfortunately, she didnt get in but Fanoulla did. Initially, she was thinking I am not putting myself through all that training again but following gentle peruasion from Andrea, mher running partner, they decided to go for it. Second time is madness, I’m thinking right now.
Fanoulla said At the age of 48, I have trained hard since January and have clocked over 240 miles, preparing for the big day. It’s been very tough but those that know me well, I never give up. I’m hoping to raise some money for a charity that is close to my heart, Breast Cancer Now.

My friends and family know that this illness has impacted me personally and in fact my recovery time included taking up running as a hobby. I never thought I’d be mixing it with the elite, running the Marathon in this wonderful city that is home.
I’m grateful for the support and encouragement that all of you have given me over the years and if you can once again by sponsoring me on this occasion. A small donation is all it takes, helping us defeat an illness that will affect someone we love at some point in our precious lives. Right now more women than ever are being diagnosed with breast cancer but more are surviving too. It is hoped by 2050 all diagnosed will survive.
Thanks and love to you all.
