The families of two people who were injured following the Westminster attacks last Wednesday, 22 March have released a statement.
In the statement, on behalf of the families of Andreea Cristea and Andrei Burnaz, they said:
“Our family is so grateful for the first responders, the medical personnel and the assistance of the UK Government agencies.
“Andreea is still in a critical but stable condition and benefits from the best medical healthcare possible. We are overwhelmed by the love, support and respect for our Andreea.
“The Metropolitan Police have been and continue to work tirelessly in providing their care and support during this very difficult time.”

Andreea Cristea fell into the River Thames from Westminster Bridge after being driven at by Khalid Masood. She was with her boyfriend Andrei Burnaz. Andrei has since been discharged from hospital. They were on a short break in London at the time of the attack. Both Andreea and Andrei are from Romania.
