Boroughs around London are giving their wanted suspects a festive present of an appearance on their Badvent calendar.

Following on from the success of Croydon’s Badvent calendar last year in the run-up to Christmas, boroughs across the Capital are calling for the public’s assistance to help them to locate people who are wanted by the courts or due to be sent back to prison.

Suspects and wanted offenders will be appearing on twitter feeds across London everyday and anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of any of these people should contact their local police’s CID on 101, or Crimestoppers, which is an independent charity and completely anonymous on 0800 555 111.

Croydon’s Borough Commander Jeff Boothe said: “We’re warning wanted people to give themselves up before Christmas. If someone doesn’t answer their bail or fails to turn up at court, we don’t just forget about them. We regularly review all of our outstanding wanted people and implement a plan of action to arrest them. We have had significant success doing this and will continue to target wanted offenders ensuring that they are held to account for their actions.

“If you are one of the wanted people I would urge you to contact us and sort things out without any delay. My message is clear to those who are wanted – hand yourself in, or it may be the police calling around on you this Christmas time.”
