Detectives are appealing for information on the whereabouts of a man they would like to speak to in connection with a serious sexual offence.

They have released an image of the man following the incident in July 2015 in Palmers Green.

On 26 July 2015 the victim – a 26-year-old woman – had been on a night out and accepted a lift from the suspect after she became stranded in central London.

He promised he would get her home but instead took her to a property in Palmers Green where the victim alleged he committed a serious sexual offence.

The offence happened between 22:00hrs on 26 July 2015 and 01:00hrs on 27 July 2015.

He then dropped the victim off at her flat after the attack.

The incident was reported on 29 July, 2015.

Detectives from Sexual Offences Exploitation and Child Abuse Command would like to speak to the man in the image in connection with the incident.

It is understood the man uses the name of Masoud Jan or Sam Jan and is believed to be in his late 40s. He also drives a black three-door vehicle.

He is described as being of Middle-Eastern decent with an average build with short black hair, black facial stubble (but not a beard). The victim said he spoke with a heavy Middle-Eastern accent.
