The Town Clinic in Enfield has recently announced that it will be dedicating two days a week to young people aged 18 and under, to give confidential and friendly advice about all aspects of contraception and sexual health.

The special clinic for young people runs on Monday and Wednesday and in addition two of the specialist nurses will be offering free contraception, sexual health and relationship guidance. There is also a special service where advice can be sought by text.

For the rest of the week the main clinic will also provide informal and confidential advice for anyone living in Enfield regardless of age, culture or sexuality and no appointment is needed.

Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Community Safety & Public Health, Cllr Krystle Fonyonga, said “The Town Clinic, located right in the heart of Enfield, offers a free, confidential service to every resident in Enfield who is worried about any contraception or sexual health issues.

“But now, to make things even easier, it is offering two days a week specially dedicated to helping young people. No appointment is needed, just walk in and speak informally to any one of the specialist nurses about any issues you might have on pregnancy, contraception, STIs or anything else sexual health related.

“In our young person’s clinic you can also text one of the nurses, for advice or help, it really couldn’t be more convenient.”
