As we approach the date of the beginning of the critical negotiation in Geneva and on the pretext of the recent statements made by Mr. Akinci, AKEL considers it useful to repeat once again that during this period we must all be particularly sparing in our public statements.

We address an appeal to all the involved parties to focus on the extremely difficult effort in any case for a solution of the Cyprus problem and avoid any actions or statements that could negatively affect the negotiation procedure.
