greek policePolice in Greece have confirmed that a Cypriot man and his daughter – who were reported missing last month, have been found dead.

A 68-year-old man and his 44-year-old daughter, who had been reported missing on July 15, were found dead on Monday in the area of Pineia, in the prefecture of Ileia in the Peloponnese.

Constantinos Loizidis and his daughter Eleni had disappeared during a family holiday with Loizidis’s wife.

According to sources, the man was found dead in his car and his daughter 100 meters from the vehicle. No more details were made available.

Witnesses have told authorities that the father and daughter decided to visit a church while the mother stayed back to pack their bags.

The family had been living in Attiki, Athens, and rented a holiday residence.

Autopsies by a forensic examiner are expected to pin point the exact causes of death.
