Division 2 2018

Second Division
St Panteleimon 3 Komi Kebir 3
There was an emotional start to the game when a one minute silence was observed in memory of Savvas Savvides former manager and founder of Komi Kebir who sadly passed away this week.
The game was full of end to end action and Komi took the lead through a well worked Theo Vasilliou goal. St Panteleimon equalised from a free kick taken by Roberto which skimmed off the head of a Komi player into the top corner
After the break Komi regained the lead with a goal from Sam Menari. St Panteleimon then equalised with a goal from Leonidas Andronicou.
Both teams were still looking to score and created numerous chances.
St Panteleimon took the lead for the first time in this game in the 85th min with Andrea Plastiras blasting the ball home from a corner but five minutes later Komi Kebir equalised when a mix up from a corner which resulted in Duncan Quigley scrambling the ball home.
A great game and a fair result as points were shared

Arachne 6 Asha 1
Asha lost 6-1 to a well organised Arachne whose goalkeeper was the star of the show who made some terrific saves.
But it seems Arachne could be regaining their form at long last with Chris Constantinides scoring four goals and the other wo goals were scored by Leon and Damien Spyrou..
After going down to 3-0 Asha pulled one back with a George Heraklides header and the game looked like changing but a defensive error allowed Arachne to score from then on Asha failed to recover allowing Arachne to score two further goals.
Pantel 5 Achna 5
What a game this was all out action right up to the last kick of the game but Pantel must be questioning themselves after leading 4-0 with twenty minutes to go.
A great revival from Achna who seem to have turned the corner.
Pantel’s goals were scored by Baris Huseyin 2, Andrew Kitipos, George Costa and Daniel Moyses.
Achna’s goals were scored byTheo Charalambous 3,Tas Anastasi and Alex Chrysanthou

First Division

Table
Omonia 5 KLN 1
Omonia are really going for the title big time they are scoring goals consistently. KLN gave them a battle though and held them back at 1-0 half time with a goal from Spencer Stylianou.
But a ten minute spell straight after the break where three goals were scored by Yiannis Varoufxakis completely stopped KLN in their tracks. KLN reduced the score to 4-1 with a goal from Rio Bryan Edwards. Omonia finished 5-1 winners with a goal from Ricardo.

Apoel 0 Brotherhood 1
Apoel who are very sound defensively created few chances as did Brotherhood but the Hood came out on top with a lone Aaron Kennedy goal.
