Policemen are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed in Finchley.

Officers were called at approximately 15:10hrs on Wednesday, 30 December to reports of a man assaulted in Finchley High Road, near the junction with Huntingdon Road, N2.

London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance attended the scene and the man, believed aged in his 50s, was taken to hospital for treatment to a stab injury. He remains in a critical condition.

Officers from Barnet are on scene and are appealing to anyone who was in the area and witnessed the incident to contact them.
