Police were called at around 15:45hrs on Sunday, 27 December to reports of a woman in her 90s having been robbed in Church Street, N16.

Officers attended and found the woman, aged 92, suffering a head injury. She was taken to an east London hospital, her injury is not thought to be life threatening.

Members of the public had recovered her stolen bag.

There have been no arrests.

An investigation by Hackney borough officers is underway.
