Conservative MP David Burrowes has announced the winner of his annual Christmas Card Competition. It is Paris Andreou who is aged 11 from St Pauls Primary School Winchmore Hill. The judging panel were David Burrowes’ six children who sifted through hundreds of entries from 11 schools in Enfield Southgate to find the winning design which reflected the real meaning of Christmas. Paris’ design will feature on the front of the Christmas Card which will be sent to other MPs and constituents. There were 5 runners up from Oak Tree Special School, St Paul’s, Highfield, St Michael at Bowes and Bowes Primary schools whose designs will feature inside and the back of the card. The card’s charities this year are the North London Hospice, Nightingale Cancer Support Centre and In Sue’s Name, which supports clinical research into brain cancer.”
David Burrowes said “there were many excellent designs and I am pleased to have passed the buck for choosing the winner to my children! I look forward to welcoming Paris and her parents to the Commons soon to celebrate her victory. Meanwhile I would like to take this opportunity to wish the community Καλά Χριστούγεννα
