Officers are appealing for information following a fatal road traffic collision in Hackney.

Police were called to Green Lanes, N4, to reports of a road traffic collision between a motorcyclist and a cyclist at approximately 16:20hrs on Saturday, 20 December.

London Ambulance Service was called to the scene. Both victims are male.

The motorcyclist – believed to be in his late 20s – was pronounced dead at the scene.

We are in the process of informing next of kin. A post-mortem examination will take place in due course.

The cyclist, in his 40s, was taken to an east London hospital where he is in a stable condition.

Road closures are currently in place.
